Using conditional comments, it doesn't take a lot of resources to create a page that works with IE5, 6, 7, 8, etc. Ignorance and articles like this feed young designers and coders minds into thinking IE6 is an absolute lost cause, and it doesn't have to be if you just do research and try to learn about your craft instead of making excuses. I "discontinued" support for Internet Explorer 6 at the start of the year. The only code that I will do for a client with IE6, is a simple redirect to their company name and contact information, and explaining the site isn't compatible with IE6. I feel great.
